ClimaCheck's October 2016 newsletter announced ETC Group, through US distributor EES (Sean McCaffery), is a new Evaluation Partner in the United States and Asia. ETC is proud of this partnership and has found the thermodynamic analysis made possible by ClimaCheck invaluable. ETC engineers use ClimaCheck to provide Chiller Performance Analysis (ChPA).

Glen Anderson was asked to speak to the Central Arizona Society for Healthcare Engineering (CASHE) at their September education event (09/14 @ 5 PM).  Glen is well qualified to speak on this subject and has worked in numerous medical centers to optimize efficiency, improve equipment reliability while maintaining staff/patient comfort. He has 21 years of experience with analysis and optimization of chiller plant, building air and water-side HVAC systems, process cooling and refrigeration.

The American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ACEEE) recognized EDF Climate Corps for their innovative program to help organizations identify and implement energy efficiency measures in commercial facilities. Since 2008, over 600 Climate Corps fellows working in 400 public- and private-sector organizations have identified efficiency projects with the potential to save close to $1. 5 billion in energy costs and reduce annual carbon emissions by 2 million metric tons.

John Petze, Principal of SkyFoundry, posted our case study on Friday. He wrote, "We are excited to publish a new Case Study provided by ETC Group & Climatec. The case study focuses on Banner Health's Thunderbird Campus where SkySpark was used as a key part of a program to improve energy management results, maintain energy savings and reverse the trend of energy drift over time.

At the upcoming Intelligent Building Conference (IBcon), our work with Banner Thunderbird Medical Center is being featured at the Smart Buildings Best Practice Showcase.  Banner Health contracted with ETC Group to implement monitoring-based commissioning (MBCx) at the Banner Thunderbird campus and despite challenges, the project has been a great success. This project achieved an annual energy cost savings of $449,000 with an internal ROI of 194%.
