USGBC Utah LEARN team member Dustin Campbell of ETC Group was recently heard saying, "We want every school in Utah to be healthy and generate as much energy as it uses and even contribute to the restoration of our environment within a generation. It's our goal, it's a huge undertaking and we need help!" To that end, Dustin and the USGBC Utah LEARN Team are seeking responses to a survey geared to spark conversation while creating a baseline of data from K-12 schools throughout the state of Utah. The legislature was in session and we met many lawmakers, lobbyists and students interested in application of energy efficiency in Utah. Chris said that by integrating the data into the system in real time, companies will be able to see changes in energy use sooner. SWEEP honors Patti Case with Leadership Award!

Xcel Energy and the City of Fort Collins Utilities received leadership awards for highly effective energy efficiency programs in Southwest states that are exceeding energy savings goals, in a ceremony held Nov. 21 during the 10th annual Southwest Regional Energy Efficiency Workshop at Millennium Harvest  House Hotel. A leadership award was also presented to Patti Lynn Case for her contributions to greater energy efficiency in the industrial sector.
